Ethernet

Ethernet is the most widely installed local area network (LAN) technology. Ethernet is not circuit-oriented. Unlike TDM, voice, data, video, and other services are not assigned to fixed time-slots within Ethernet frames, and there is not a requirement within Ethernet for frames to be regularly transmitted at precise intervals.
