Dr. Santanu Das is a founder of TranSwitch Corporation, incorporated in 1988, and serves as president and chief executive officer. He has more than 30 years experience in the telecommunications industry and in computer development. As president of Micom Digital Corporation from December 1987 to the end of June 1988, Dr. Das was responsible for all operating activities in the marketing, sales, engineering and manufacturing of a networking T-1 multiplexer for private corporate telecommunications networks. Prior to Micom Digital, he was vice president of Operations and Engineering from October 1986 to December 1987 at Spectrum Digital, the predecessor to Micom Digital. Prior to Spectrum, he was an executive at ITT Corporation from 1973 to 1986, where he held several senior positions at the ITT Advanced Technology Center. There, he was responsible for the development of VLSI-based telephone switching systems (ITT's System 12 Switch, which is now being sold worldwide by Alcatel Corporation), advanced technology development and workstation-based CAD systems. Dr. Das holds a Doctor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Washington University, St. Louis, where he is currently a trustee. He received his BS and MS degrees in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering from Jadavpur University, Calcutta, India. He received the 'Alumni Achievement Award' from Washington University School of Engineering and Applied Science in April 2000, which recognizes his contributions to the advancement of the telecommunications and data communications industry and his entrepreneurial spirit. In June 2000, he was awarded the Ernst & Young 'Entrepreneur of the Year Award' for Southwest Connecticut/New York Hudson Valley area for the telecommunications industry. Dr. Das has been granted more than 10 patents in his field.

Pat Agudow is responsible for TranSwitch’s global human resource efforts. Ms. Agudow has over 25 years of HR activities, seven of which were with ITT Corporation. Prior to joining TranSwitch in 1999, she spent 13 years at General Reinsurance Corporation where she held various senior management positions within the human resources department, most recently as a vice president where she was responsible for 3,800 employees globally. Ms. Agudow holds a BS degree in Management and Industrial Relations from the University of Bridgeport, and is also affiliated with numerous national human resources organizations.

Bill Bartholomay has been with TranSwitch since 1992. Prior to becoming CTO, he served in various other technical and managerial roles including vice president of engineering and vice president of product definition. Prior to joining TranSwitch, Mr. Bartholomay was director of the Shelton Development Center for Ascom Timeplex. He also has worked for Alcatel, ITT and AT&T Bell Labs. He received a BSEE from the University of California, Davis campus, and an MSEE from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Mr. Bartholomay has been granted a number of patents in telecom and datacom.

Robert Bosi has more than 30 years of financial management experience. Before joining TranSwitch, he held the positions of VP-Finance/Chief Financial Officer for Curtiss-Wright Corporation from 1991 to 2001 and VP – Chief Financial Officer for Vesper Corporation from 2002 to 2003. Since 2004 Mr. Bosi has been a partner with Tatum LLC which provides senior level financial management services to corporations. During Mr. Bosi’s tenure at Tatum LLC he filled the positions of Interim Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Concord Camera Corporation from 2004 to 2005 and Consultant to the Chairman and CEO of Monitor Oil PLC from 2006 to 2007. Mr. Bosi has a BA in accounting from William Paterson University and an MBA from Fairleigh Dickinson University. Also, Mr. Bosi is a Certified Public Accountant, a Certified Management Accountant and a Certified Financial Manager.

Ted Chung joined TranSwitch in 2001. In addition to his role as vice president of Business Development, he is also currently serving as interim chief financial officer. Before joining TranSwitch, from 2000 to 2001 he held the position of director, Business Development for Lydstrom, Inc., a maker of Internet-enabled set-top boxes. From 1997 to 2000, Mr. Chung was with Fahnestock & Co in New York where he worked in Structured Finance both as an associate and later as a vice president. He earned a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from Columbia Law School in New York City, and a Bachelor of Arts Degree, magna cum laude, in Economics from Columbia University, New York City.

Jorge "Jeorge" S. Hurtarte, P.E., has more than 20 years of semiconductor industry experience in design engineering and manufacturing operations. His responsibilities at TranSwitch have encompassed worldwide VLSI chip design, software and technology development; EDA and manufacturing supplier selection; supply chain management and manufacturing logistics; and the coordination of strategic programs. Prior to joining TranSwitch in January 1999, Mr. Hurtarte spent 15 years at Rockwell Semiconductor Systems, now Conexant Systems. During his tenure there, his responsibilities ranged from semiconductor product engineer to director of an engineering group, ultimately becoming a vice president of the company. Mr. Hurtarte holds a BS degree in electrical engineering from the University of California, Irvine, and a MBA from Auburn University. He is a graduate of Harvard Business School's Advanced Management Program, and is a Registered Professional Engineer in the State of California. He has been on the Board of Directors of the Fabless Semiconductor Association since 2002.

Mike Macari has over 25 years of semiconductor industry experience in product and test engineering, design, supply chain management, quality and reliability. Prior to joining TranSwitch in 1999, he spent 13 years at General DataComm where he held positions including director of VLSI and executive director of Technology Services. In that capacity he was responsible for VLSI design, test and manufacturing, CAD and Information Technology. Prior to General DataComm, Mr. Macari was the manager of LSI Test and Reliability at ITT. He holds a BS degree in Electrical Engineering from Fairleigh Dickinson University and a MBA from the University of New Haven.

Dr. Hoshang Mulla has been with TranSwitch since 1999. Prior to that, he was vice president of Network Architecture Planning for Southern New England Telecommunications (SNET). In this position he led the I-SNET initiative for broadband access deployment in the State of Connecticut. He previously held a number of technical positions with ITT's Advanced Technology Center and Motorola, where he was involved in R&D and product development. Dr. Mulla holds three patents in the area of Digital Signal Processing and algorithms for Speech Recognition. He received his BS EE, MS EE, and PhD degrees in Computer, Information, and Control Engineering from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor.

Jitender Vij brings over 25 years of experience in telecommunications to TranSwitch ranging from hardware design to public network planning. Prior to joining TranSwitch in 1990, Mr. Vij served as technical director for Southern New England Telecommunications, where he was responsible for network evolution, intelligent network, services planning, network design consultation and new technologies assessment. Previously, Mr. Vij was manager of Communications Systems at Alcatel (formerly ITT) Advanced Technology Center, and executive technical officer at Teleglobe Canada. He has a BE degree in electronics from the Thaper Institute of Engineering and Technology and holds several patents related to the telecommunications and networking industry.
